David S. Federman, CPA

Dave, a CPA and lawyer, has more than 35 years diverse experience as a tax professional working with a myriad of issues, primarily relating to closely held companies.

Professional Experience

Federman, Lally & Remis LLC - Farmington, CT (1991 to present)
Founding Partner and Managing Partner.
Dave’s primary focus relates to working with closely held companies and complex tax and family matters including succession planning. Industry expertise includes manufacturing, real estate and distribution as well as working with high net worth individuals. Dave also has substantial expertise in tax controversies.

Arthur Andersen & Co. – Hartford, CT (1969-1991)
Dave was managing partner of the tax practice from 1987-1991. His special expertise was with closely held companies, their owners and the multitude of issues presented with owner operated companies.

BS, Northeastern University (1966), JD, University of Connecticut (1969).
Member Connecticut Bar, member AICPA and CSCPA.

Professional and Community Service

Dave is very active in civic endeavors. Among his many activities, Dave has been Chairman of the Board of the Arthritis Foundation of Northern and Southern New England, President of the Mandell Jewish Community Center, Annual Campaign Chairman for the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford and a Trustee for Hebrew Health Care. Dave is Founder and President of Jewish Links, Inc. and was elected to the National Board of Directors of the Arthritis Foundation in February 2008.  Dave is currently a Life Officer of the Mandell Jewish Community Center, a Life Community Trustee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, a Corporator of Hebrew Health Care and a Corporator of The Hartford Hospital.

Dave also taught Legal Accounting at the University of Connecticut School of Law for three years.
