Public accounting is a regulated activity, and while we don’t build airplanes or manufacture pharmaceuticals, we are committed to operate in the public trust. As part of a public accounting firm’s licensure, every three years we must undergo a professional peer review verifying that we are doing business in accordance with the standards of our profession. We are proud to announce the FLR has once again passed its triennial peer review of accounting and auditing practices. This is our sixth time undergoing this review, and our string of reports with “no comment” continues unbroken. In our world “no comment” is as good as it gets.
An interesting aside – for anyone who has seen the Liberty Tax Statue flagging down prospective customers on the road – tax services are still largely unregulated. Go figure.
